Time magazine did a cover story on inflammation being a secret killer in 2004. Inflammation is a significant component of disease, aches, pains and simply not feeling good. The article states that eating real foods is one of the most healthy eating principles.

Chocolate:

It lists dark chocolate as an anti-inflammatory (my grandmother ate 2 squares each day at 3 pm and lived into her 90’s).

Nuts:

People who regularly ate one ounce of nuts at least seven times per week were 20 percent less likely to die for any reason, compared to those who avoided nuts in their diet.

Wonderful fat foods that are good for you:

  • Wild caught Alaskan salmon: Research suggests that eating oily fish once or twice a week may increase your lifespan by more than two years, and reduce your risk of dying from cardiovascular disease by 35 percent.

Eat wild salmon, coconut oil and avocados without guilt.
